"Annabeth! Wake up!"
All Percy could do was watch in agony as his girlfriend slept fitfully in his bed, her body convulsing and her sweat soaking her curls. Her screams echoed in his ears and he fretfully shook her shoulders. It caused him so much angst to hear her in pain, and tears streamed down his cheeks.
"Please wake up!" He yelled hoarsely as Annabeth kicked out wildly. His heart dropped and he buried his head in his hands. "I'm so sorry," he croaked and walked to his bathroom. Turning on the faucet, he splashed cold water on his face. The color returned to his face, but his eyes remained red and puffy. Cupping his hands, he let the water run through his fingers loosely. Slipping his eyes closed, he concentrated on keeping the water in his hands.
Making his way to Annabeth, he watched helplessly as she thrashed and twitched. Ever since Tartarus, she had nightmares like this every night. Percy got them too, but he could usually snap out of it. Counting to three, he tossed the cold water onto her and winced. Her wild eyes shot open and he hurried to her side, grabbing her hand and squeezing it tightly. Gray eyes darted around the room as she tried to figure out where she was.
"Shh, it's me. It's Percy." He whispered quietly and brushed her damp hair off her forehead. Her chest heaved violently and her breathing was ragged. Annabeth's nails dug into his palms but he blocked out the pain.
"You're not real!" Annabeth screamed into his face and tugged her hand away, squeezing her eyes tightly closed. Percy clenched his teeth to keep himself from crying and he reached out to touch her face.
"Yes, I am. I'm right here," he murmured and his fingers gently stroked her cheek. "See?" Annabeth gave him a cautious look but didn't pull away. He turned on his lamp and light illuminated the cabin. Her breathing slowed at the new scenery and she turned to face Percy, her eyes searching for resignation. Percy desperately tried to hide his pained expression and he pulled her close, kissing her lips gently. Annabeth's body shuttered and she collapsed into him, his arms enfolding her into his chest. He stroked her curls quietly and held her, murmuring words of comfort.
"I thought I lost you. Every night, I lose you." Annabeth whispered into his shoulder and sobbed. Percy shut his eyes and squeezed her waist.
"You'll never lose me, Annabeth. Never."
Annabeth pulled back and gazed into his eyes, tears streaming down her face. "But I lose myself."
Percy felt like he had just been stabbed in the stomach, and he knew what that felt like. "It's okay. I know how to find you, and that's all that matters," he replied quietly and kissed her again, one hand on the back of her neck and the other on her hip. She returned it gratefully and wrapped her arms around his neck. Annabeth shivered and he wrapped the covers around her shoulders, not letting go of her neck.
"Who am I, Percy? Would you please remind me?" She murmured painfully and gritted her teeth to keep herself from crying again. Percy nodded and took both of her hands in his, taking a deep breath to keep his voice from shaking.
"You're Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena. My Wise Girl, my girlfriend, and my everything. We defeated Kronos and Gaea together. You defeated Arachne solo with a broken ankle. You're the official architect of Olympus and a total badass." Hearing this, Annabeth scrunched her eyebrows together.
"You make me sound like a hero, or something," she said wistfully and smiled. Percy laughed lightly and motioned her over. He tucked her under the covers and laid next to her, wrapping his arms protectively around her waist.
"I'm glad you're here, Seaweed Brain. Without you, things go hazy," she murmured breathlessly and before Percy could reply, she started to snore. After these episodes, it was difficult for Percy to go back to sleep. He usually just watched her sleep quietly, and he was content with that. Without her, things went hazy.

Valentine's Day
Annabeth had somehow convinced Percy to avoid all the stereotypical sappy stuff on Valentine’s Day. Even though it was their first Valentine’s Day as a couple (technically, though, their first was when Percy was missing), Annabeth thought it was a useless holiday. “Let’s just not do it, okay?” she’d told Percy. “It’s way too predictable.”
“But this is our first Valentine’s Day together!” His features subconsciously molded into that cute-baby-seal expression.
Annabeth held firm. “I’d really rather not. No romantic dinner, no box of chocolates, no dozen

All Over The Road
“T-take it easy, Annabeth," I stammered.
She laughed lightly, her lips right next to my ear. “It’ll be fine, Percy.”
Her hand moved to my knee. My heart was pounding so hard, I thought it was going to fly right out of my chest. Having ADHD means I’m distracted easily enough as it is, but trying to drive with Annabeth in the front seat was proving to be more than I could handle.
It was a beautiful spring day—perfect, I thought, for a cruise down the Long Island backroads. As soon as we got in the car, though, it was clear that Annabeth had other things on her mind. Apparently we had very differen

Dying Light (PJO Oneshot)
The walk through Tartarus seemed endless. It seemed endless, and with Annabeth’s condition deteriorating, Percy couldn’t help but be worried out of his mind.
She’d been fine for a while; at least she’d been fine enough to function. Her ankle had been broken more severely once they’d landed in Tartarus, but otherwise she and Percy had been lucky enough not to suffer any other extensive injuries besides some cuts, bumps and bruises. Percy had helped her splint her ankle as best he could, but there wasn’t much they could do for it besides that. They’d managed to locate her minimal stash of ambrosia alon

I watched you sleeping quietly in my bed
You don't know this now but there's some things that need to be said
And it's all that I can hear, It's more than I can bare
What if I fall and hurt myself?
Would you know how to fix me
What if I went and lost myself?
Would you know where to find me
If I forgot who I am,
Would you please remind me oh?
Cause without you things go hazy
I watched you sleeping quietly in my bed
You don't know this now but there's some things that need to be said
And it's all that I can hear, It's more than I can bare

This is probably my favorite Percabeth song. To be honest with my fellow PJO fans, I think Rick will do something like this. Where they both have frightening nightmares and just aren't quite the same, kinda like Peeta in the Hunger Games. It's sad I know and I was very emotional while writing this. Bear with me, guys.
Love you all
